Sometimes it may take new members a few months to get acclimated to the group and feel comfortable in front of new faces. Needless to say, Dan shined and captivated the audience!

He was informative, knowledgeable and professional as he spoke about his 25+ years of experience as a home remodeler and contractor in the state of New Jersey.

Dan gave the group updated information on compliance, laws and recourse in his industry, which has undergone a major transformation over the years, accounting for almost $500 Million in improvements in 2011 for NJ alone.

Dan stressed the importance of working with a qualified craftsman, like himself, who is not only LICENSED in the state he does business in (which many so-called “licensed” contractors are not) but who is also certified in asbestos removal, lead paint removal and takes the time to read instructions before installation.

What was most impressive is how Dan took what many outside observers could consider a “hammer and nails” profession and educated all of us on how to do things right, professionally, and with quality. He’s been driving his business with referrals for over two decades, so please do your best to look up Dan Gehrig of Gehrig Construction!

It looks as though Martha Paravati will be filling the “banker” category of the group. We welcome Martha to the group and look forward to hearing more about her and her services over the coming months.

One Response to LeTip of Denville meeting November 10, 2011

  1. JohnT says:

Dan wanted to correct something in the post. He’s not a licensed contractor, he’s a registered contractor. The difference being that for registration a contractor pays a fee and goes through a background check – there’s no licensing exam or test. If a contractor tells you that they are licensed in fact this is false! There are NO licensed contractors in NJ, just registered contractors!!
